Update

Hi girls! Trust you're all well, and had a nice easter break. I just want to start off with saying that I'm sorry I've been so lazy when it comes to this blog. It's such a good way of keeping in touch, and I really enjoy reading about you girls, which I miss and think of very often. Although I know it's not a good excuse, I lost access to my uni-webmail, so if I haven't replied to any of u, it's because I've lost your email adresses and I can't access my email. Please send them to me if you're not on Facebook (hint hint Laura)...

I had a nice Easter-break, which I spent in Spain where Thomas' parents live. The weather was a bit unfortunate, it was pissing down most of the time and the sun stayed away (apparently, it was all over Europe except Spain..) anyways, had a quiet one and relaxed a lot. Nice.

I really love living in London, it's such a great city. Been pretty busy since I got here, with work, partying and socialising. There's always heaps of stuff happening, and as you know I hate to miss out on things.. I have been offered a Master degree at Cass Business School in London, which I probably will accept. Back to school.. sometimes I really look forward to it, other times I'm not that happy with it, but I'm sure it will be cool.

Laura -I was looking at tickets to Bremen from London this other day, and they're really cheap... Let me know if you want my company for a weekend. It would be lovely to catch up with you honey. Say hello to Daniel for me.

Bye for now ladies, take care and enjoy life! Silje: I'm a bit jealous of you and your perfect weather... COTTESLOE BEACH I MISS U!!!!

lots of love,

Tonje

Hi again Girls!!

I guess it is about time for an update on our blog. The summer holiday is over, but it was an amazing three months, so I’ll give you a little summary of it. It was nice to celebrate Christmas here, even though it was warmer than usual. My mom cooked a nice meal, and then we opened presents with the air condition on.

December 26 we left for Sydney on a family trip. It was nice, we stayed in a fancy hotel (compared to crapy backpackers) and we went out to dinner in the evenings. The fireworks were amazing, but we had to get out at 8.30 in the evening to find a spot to see it. There were so many people. But I guess it is a once in a lifetime experience, and it was worth waiting for.

After we came back two of my friends from Norway came to see us. We had a lot of fun, and we went on a roadtrip to Margaret River and went in some of the caves there. Caves are amazing, and it was really great to see. We also went to Busselton to see the jetty. It was just great.

Then Hans and I went on our big trip. First stop was Melbourne, which was an amazing city; I really liked the atmosphere there. We also drove down the Great Ocean Road. Then we went to Tasmania for a few days. The landscape there is great!! Next stop was Brisbane, and we spent one night in Surfers Paradise. That was just a tourist and party city, but a great beach!! Then we spent some days in Brisbane, which was a lot like Perth; in other words, really nice. We also had time to go to Australia Zoo (Steve’s zoo). I had a lot of fun; we fed the elephants, saw the crocodiles, held a koala and went to the show at the Crocoseum. It was a show with snakes, birds and of course crocodiles! Last stop on the trip was Cairns, where we spent two days in the rainforest, swimming in waterfalls, canoeing, hiking etc etc, and then we went on a three day boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The weather was amazing, no wind and perfect conditions for snorkeling.

We came back to Perth Feb 17, and two days later Hans’s family came to see us. They stayed until March 5, and now uni has started again. It is strange walking into the library; I still look for you guys… Quite a few times I have seen a blond girl with long hair sitting at the computers there and thought “oh, great, Lene is here today”, and then I realize that it’s not her.

The weather here is still hot, last week there was a new record for Perth in March; 42.5 degrees. That was a little too hot. Now it has “cooled down” to about 25-30 which is much nicer. I hope it will stay like that for a long time!

That was a little update from Perth. I hope you all are doing fine! Sorry about your grandmother, Therese. I am looking forward to hearing more about Ola… Laura, I added you on my msn, hope to talk to you there one day, and Marie, I did use you gift certificate in the bookshop! Work out fine…
Talk to you later, girls. Miss you a lot, Perth is not the same without you!

- Silje (Hans misses you as well and says hello to all of you)

News from Trondheim

Hi my favourite girls :)

I guess i`t's about time that I give you an update from Trondheim. It just hit me that I'm the one who is farest north of us..Hmm...Or maybe Silje is? Depends on which way you decide to look at the map, I guess. I've seen maps with Australia on the top..Funny:) Anyway - I hope you're all fine girls. Guess you're all quite busi doing school - and work stuff!? I've been way too busi the last few weeks. Been working a bit too much so I've been very tired. I haven't been that motivated for Uni lately, but hopefully it's just a short period. I like the units, so I guess I just have to focus a bit more on school work and it will all work out. My grandmother has been very ill, and she's in the hospital. I've been visiting home a few times to meet her and my family. Hope she'll feel better soon. She's like a best friend, u know.

Some good things are happening as well. I've met a real nice bloke:) His name is Ola and he is my age. We spend time together every day and I really fancy him..Feels god to be in this situation again, just with the text messages and all - evrything is so exiting. hihi..Don't know what is happening with us yet. We just desided to let time show. But the way the situation is now, I'm very pleased :)

Been doing a lot of partying lately, which is always fun. U know me, restless soul :) As long as I can manage do a little of everything I'm happy. This weekend is a quiet one thi, which is well good! I'm looking forward to sleep in tomorrow!! hehe...oh happy day!

Spoke to Lene one day. Cool :) I miss you guys more than words can say. I hear facebook is the new internet hotty? I've been trying to registrate, but not yet successfully. Promise to try harder, Lenemor! I'm gonna visit Lene and Marie at Ås soon! Might come in a couple of weeks girls, but if not I'll come sometime after easter if that's allright? I'll stay in contact anyway. Tonje, how's things in London? Are you busi with your new job? Hope you like the big city life, darling! Seen any musicals?

Have a nice weekend, guys. Love you a lot! xxxxxxxxxxx Therese

Got it

Hey Girls,

finally managed to install msn messanger. But I'm a bit too stupid to add contacts, maybe I'll find out later. Anyways my ID is MiniLaura84@hotmail.de Would be nice to have a "live" chat with you girls soon. I really do miss you and I'm thinking about our days in Australia all the time, especially now during exam period. Did I tell you my favorite club is probably closing down? The owner got some trouble with the officials. Hope it's not happening before the 19th, that's when my exams are over. That would be horrible. Sh... have to study again.

Hugs and kisses,
Laura

tudeliduuuuu

Sjo og hei ( this is in norwegian Laura, I'm sick of starting off the blog with hi girlies;) ) !!

I'm finally starting to adapt to the norwegian society again, even though I have had som input from Bangladesh, Tanzania, Austria and Poland. At the moment I live in this student complex with only exchange students. I still get to practise my english in other words... But tomorrow I'm moving to another place with 3 other people, 1 girl and 2 boys. ( all norwegian) I think it'll be nice with a change of environment. Even though I feel I've been doing that all the time the last couple of months :)

The semester has started and Lene is occupied with her master thesis. I had this meeting with my supervisor yesterday and now I'm really motivated and challenged, which is positive:) I'm writing my thesis on fattyacid metabolites and their potential ability to prevent cell division of gut cancer cells. ( the easy explanation) Hopefully I'll get results, but unfortunately that's not always the case in scientific research.. I keep my fingers crossed. In addition to this I'm doing 3 other chemistry units, so the pile of work is crowding my desk (literally).

Spinnning has become my new hobby with the aim of feeling fit and energized.
My status is still single, so I keep my watch out for good looking guys.. Haven't seen that many yet, where do they hide?? I'm hoping my dream man will show up at my next spinning class. Or maybe that's not a good pick up situation, especially not when your face looks like a red tomato.. ;)I'm not complaining though.. life is fine the way it is, the freedom to do whatever I want:) But the freedom you have in Norway, doesn't quite beat the one in Australia ;)There's only one negative thought in all of this.. valentines day is coming up, but fortunately I'm spending it with some girlfriends. One of my friends has her birthday on valentines:) So, we'll probably be eating dinner and drinking wine. Enjoy valentines day girls! :)

I'll have to continue packing and cleaning... I'm delaying it constantly.. ( But the blog got a new post;))

miss you lots,

Hugs from Lene

Kind of cool ;)

Hey Girls!

Finally, it's getting colder in Germany and it snowed yesterday, almost couldn't believe it. Alright, it's almost gone today, but, hey, it's better than rain and storm all the time. Well, now there's another problem with the weather now: near to my flat a bomb from World War II was found. Fortunately I didn't have to leave home, but I have to keep the windows open, while they are disarming the bomb, just in case... It's freezing cold right now, and I'm already sick. Bullsh..! Besides this incident everything is fine. I got the best (student) job ever. I'm working for my favorite professor (he's teaching brand management) at our faculty. The work is interesting and pretty well paid, I'm a lucky girl. @Therese: thanx for all the pics. I really want to go back. Everytime I watch something about Australia on TV or read our blog I just wanna go back. I shouldn't be complaining, my guyz here are great and there's always something going on. A bad thing is, that exams are coming up and I have so much to do... Well, I hope you are enjoying your time at home and tell me about it :)

Love,
Laura
